2.9 magnitude earthquake rattles St. George area
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah, July 24, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A 2.9 magnitude earthquake shook the area south of St. George Tuesday night as residents settled in for the night. The earthquake, a little southeast of St. George, was recorded at 10:33 p.m. by the University of Utah Seismic Center. The earth shifted at a depth of seven miles.

Orem Police detectives have issued a new alert on David Roe, 48, who went missing Monday, July 15. Roe’s online blog that day indicated “he was in the South Salt Lake area that day handing out cash and Gatorade as an act of goodwill.”
