Morganton man charged with indecent liberties involving minor: Sheriff

BURKE COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – A Morganton man has been charged with indecent liberties involving a child, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office said Friday.

An investigation was launched after information was received regarding a sexual assault with a minor involving Morganton resident Nicholas Walentowski, 44. During the investigation, a warrant was issued and Walentowski was arrested on June 28th.

He was held on a $45,000 secured bond and had his first court appearance on July 1st.

Walentowski is facing one count of indecent liberties with a minor.
