3-star 2025 cornerback Deuce Edwards commits to WVU football

The “Let’s go!” tweets rang out from the WVU defensive coaches on Saturday afternoon. The team’s expected 2025 freshman class is now at 13 players with the commitment from three-star cornerback Terrance “Deuce” Edwards.

Edwards, 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds had narrowed his final choices to WVU and Virginia Tech. The Richmond, Virginia native announced his decision via live stream on social media on Saturday afternoon.

As a junior at Trinity Episcopal School, he recorded 33 tackles, three interceptions, 14 pass breakups and a forced fumble. He also spent time as a wide receiver, scoring five touchdowns.

Edwards is ranked as the No. 51 cornerback nationally. He is the 13 player in WVU’s 2025 freshman class, and he is the sixth defensive player to join the crop of 2025 recruits.
