MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — A new pub is set to open in Morgantown this August with a portion of its revenue set to benefit WVU’s Name Image and Likeness (NIL) fund, the Country Roads Trust.

“The GOAT Country Roads Pub” announced on Monday that it has plans to open in Morgantown during the week of Aug. 31—the day that WVU Football takes on Penn State at Milan Puskar Stadium. The pub will offer a “scratch-made gastropub menu, amazing cocktail program with popular and rare spirits as well as a beer program featuring West Virginia breweries” and will be located at 364 Suncrest Town Centre Dr. , next to Bacon, Bourbon & Beer.

On top of the drinks available, the pub will also feature pool tables, darts, Skee ball, shuffleboards and “an array of entertainment” options.

“We’re excited for a unique partnership that will give us another revenue stream to help our student-athletes,” Country Roads Trust GM/COO Stephen Ford said. “We can call this our home for events, content, launch parties for bourbon and beer and just a great place for all Mountaineer fans to get together.”

For more information on the pub, you can keep up with its Facebook page.
