Board of Works denies request for Fourth of July fireworks in city park
The Board of Works and Public Safety denied a request from a group of residents Tuesday morning to set off a large amount of fireworks at Clearwick Park on July 4. Citing the Shelbyville Parks Department’s rule of no fireworks in city parks, a block party request to light consumer fireworks in Clearwick Park, 2600 Berwick Drive, from residents of the Clearview subdivision was not allowed.

I’m going to have to be careful what I say around her.
