Once again, former Bengal and later, Virginia Tech football standout Anthony Lambo oversaw the event. Lambo, a 1996 graduate of Bloomfield High, and 2000 alum of Va. Big Wins for Piscataway Boys Basketball at Summer Tournaments
PISCATAWAY, NJ – Although the school year and high school sports seasons have ended for 2023-2024, Piscataway’s boys basketball continues to compete, even during the summer. The win comes off a tough 44-41 loss to Hunterdon Central in their first game of the New Jersey Basketball Coaches Association’s (NJBCA) Boys Jersey Live 2024 tournament at Montgomery High School in Skillman on June 22. Vaughn Turner, a rising senior, led Piscataway in scoring with 13 points. The Chiefs went on to defeat Trenton Central High School, 76-43 in their second game of the morning. The Montclair State University men’s lacrosse team posted four victories, including three by double-digit goal totals, during the 2024 season. LIVINGSTON, NJ — After winning the 2024 National History Bowl competition, where the Livingston Lancers remained undefeated throughout the three-day tournament against the strongest 165 teams in the country, members of the Livingston High School (LHS) varsity History Bowl team, who also placed first in the state tournament, recently received proclamations from the Livingston Township Council in recognition of these accomplishments. CLARK, NJ — Arthur L. Johnson (ALJ) High School's Justin Zdeb just represented Clark at the Quad County Underclassman All-Star Game this past Friday, June 28. He was named the MVP for Union County. New Providence Boys Basketball Team Enters Two Teams in Albright Tournament
READING, Pa. -- Two boys basketball teams from New Providence High School participated in the Albright team camp at Albright College last weekend. Union Catholic Track Legend Sydney McLaughlin Advances to 400m Hurdle Final at Olympic Trials
SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ --Union Catholic track legend and defending Olympic gold medalist Sydney McLaughlin advanced to the finals of the 400m hurdles with a win Saturday evening at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon. McLaughlin won the semifinals at 52.48, the fastest time in the world this year. Dalilah Muhammad, the 2016 Olympic gold medalist in Rio, finished second in Saturday's semifinal with a time of 54.16.
