Arts in the Community Event; Wednesday July 24 with DJ KD

MORRISTOWN, NJ -  The Mayo Performing Arts Center presents Arts in the Community Series. All events are free, open to the public and held at the Vail Mansion Plaza and Pioneer Park at Headquarters Plaza.

Salsa at Sunset with DJ KD on Wednesday July 24 at 6pm at Pioneer Park at Headquarters Plaza -

MPAC’s popular salsa dancing event returns! Dance the night away with the spirited sounds of salsa, merengue and more, with music provided by DJ KD and salsa dance instruction provided by Daniel Herrera and Dreams Dance Studio.

Summer Soulful Dance Party with DJ Frank D on Wednesday August 7 at 6pm at Pioneer Park at Headquarters Plaza -

Morristown’s own DJ Frank D’s background is deeply rooted in hip-hop. He’s an expertise in mixing, blending, and spinning every genre of music. DJ Frank D delights local and international audiences. He was spinning from the start of the hip-hop explosion. Since then, he has DJ’d for corporate, private and mobile events. His most notable skill is the ability to read his audience and customize the vibe to the demographic. You won’t want to miss him! Step into the spotlight with El Photobooth to capture, print, and share the moments of a fun evening!

Jake Wildhorn on Wednesday August 21 at 6pm at Vail Mansion Plaza -

Singer/songwriter Jake Wildhorn is a skilled writer, producer and performer, showcasing the talents he’s inherited from his mother, well-known Broadway singer Linda Eder and his father, composer Frank Wildhorn. His music is a mix of alternative blues rock and acoustic rock, inspired by both modern and classic artists such as Don Henley, Rob Thomas, John Mayer, and Ed Sheeran.

“Our Arts in the Community concerts are great opportunities to experience diverse artists throughout Morristown,” said Allison Larena, President and CEO, MPAC. “We look forward to presenting amazing free outdoor summer concerts that people of all ages and backgrounds can enjoy together.” Concerts are held at various locations in Morristown, including Cauldwell Park, Pioneer Plaza at Headquarters Plaza and the Vail Mansion Plaza (adjacent to MPAC).
