Multiple arrests after chase in Scranton
MOOSIC, Pa. — Three people were arrested on Friday afternoon in Lackawanna County. Scranton Police were called for a suspicious person attempting to make a bank transaction at the Community Bank on Davis Street around 2:50 p.m. Bank staff became suspicious after a man struggled to answer self-identification questions.

Wayne County woman killed in Susquehanna County crash
SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY, Pa. — A woman is dead after a crash in Susquehanna County. State police say Kelsey McCarthy, 28, of Waymart, was traveling east on Laurel Lake Road in Liberty Township around 7 p.m. Saturday when she went past a stop sign and was hit by a pickup truck headed south on Snake Creek Road.
Probing the cause of two separate fires this weekend in NEPA
Fire damaged an apartment building in Taylor Saturday afternoon, leaving 8 people without a place to live. Flames broke out just before 1 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street in Taylor. Smoke could be seen coming from the back of the building. Several fire departments responded to help put out the flames. Neighbors say everyone made it out safely following that weekend fire in Taylor.
Man charged with committing $1.5M pandemic fraud

Man arrested after shooting barbershop owner in Wilkes-Barre
WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — A man who shot a business owner in Luzerne County in May of last year has been arrested. United States Marshall announced the arrest of 34-year-old Julio Rivas of Wilkes-Barre on Friday morning. Rivas was located and arrested in the 10 block of Elizabeth Street in Wilkes-Barre without incident and turned over to the Wilkes-Barre Police.
