Free Meals Program for Wayne County Kids
On Friday, July 26, Southwest Human Resource Agency will welcome parents and caregivers from throughout the area to Wayne County Libraries for their weekly distribution of free summertime meals. The distribution of five days’ worth of breakfast and lunch food items will provide much-needed nutrition for kids and teens, in the absence of the daily meals they receive during the school year.

Memphis women's basketball's return game with coach Dawn Staley and South Carolina is still happening. It just won't count toward either program's win-loss record. Instead of hosting a regular-season non-conference game against the defending national champions, coach Alex Simmons' Tigers will welcome South Carolina for an exhibition game for the 2024-25 season.
Town works to correct utility reading error
The Town recently discovered an issue with our utility meter readings. A new employee responsible for reading meters either did not perform the readings or recorded inaccurate data. This problem began in May, and initially, the employee received further training. The readings continued to be incorrect throughout June, and as of July 11th, the individual is no longer employed with the Town.
CPD Joins “Operation Southern Slow Down” to reduce speeding-related crashes statewide
Collierville – The Collierville Police Department (CPD) collaborated with the Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO) for the “Operation Southern Slow Down” campaign, which ran from July 15th to 21st. This initiative aimed to enhance traffic enforcement across the Southeast, with participating states including Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina.
