More than ten years after a 22-year-old Mississippi man’s death, officials continue to look for his killer and hope that someone has vital information to the cold case.

On November 30, 2013, the Moss Point community was shaken by the tragic death of Christopher ‘Big Chris’ Smith, 22, who was fatally shot outside his home in the 5400 block of Gregory Street. Despite the passage of time, his family and friends continue to seek justice and closure for this heartbreaking loss.

According to a news release, Moss Point found Smith lying in the driveway of his residence in 2013. Emergency personnel initiated first aid, but Smith was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Evidence at the scene and witness statements suggest there was one suspect who fled on foot following the shooting.

Authorities believe that someone holds vital information about the circumstances surrounding Chris’s death.

In an effort to encourage individuals to come forward, Crime Stoppers is offering a safe and anonymous way to share information with the police. Ensuring the anonymity of those providing tips, Crime Stoppers does not use caller ID or track IP addresses. Additionally, they offer cash rewards up to $2,500 for tips leading to an arrest in cases such as murder.
