WMX Round 5: Kyleigh Stallings Dominates at Ironman

Ironman Raceway hosted the fifth round of the Women’s Motocross (WMX) Championship on Friday, alongside the AMA Pro Motocross Championship finale. With 24 women riders on the line and close practice times, the stage was set for a competitive day.

In the first moto, Kyleigh Stallings took the holeshot on her #21 Kawasaki and quickly pulled a gap on the field. Lachlan Turner (#99 Yamaha) and Mikayla Nielsen (#51 Honda) followed in second and third. Despite a late-race challenge from Turner, Stallings held on to win, with Turner finishing second and Nielsen third. Jordan Jarvis, who crashed while battling for fourth, fought back to finish sixth, while Sophia Phelps (#56 Kawasaki) moved up to fourth after a strong ride.

The second moto saw Nielsen take the holeshot, but Stallings soon took the lead after Nielsen’s mistake. Turner stayed close in third while Jarvis charged through the pack to claim second by the final lap. Stallings secured her second win of the day, with Jarvis in second, Turner in third, and Nielsen in fourth.

Kyleigh Stallings took the overall victory, marking her second consecutive win after High Point. Lachlan Turner finished second overall, with Mikayla Nielsen rounding out the podium in third.

Round 6 of the Women's Motocross Championship will be held in Millington, Michigan, alongside the Baja Brawl, from August 30th to September 2nd.
