Museum's summer Family Fun Days begins Sunday

The Mount Airy Museum of Regional History is offering something it hopes will be fun for area families — a series of Family Fun Days.

The first such day is set for Sunday, and will follow on the second Sunday of both July and August, with each of the three days having a different theme and related activities. These days are sponsored by the Rotary Club of Mount Airy, which museum officials said “Has graciously covered the cost of admission for those participating in the Family Fun Day.”

“We are thankful to Rotary for giving the community a day at the museum where cost is not a barrier to anyone,” a museum representative said.

The first Family Fun Day, on June 9, will be from 1 to 4 p.m.

“There will be fun summer-themed activities and crafts in the courtyard for all ages. Everyone is also welcome to walk through the museum.”

The next Family Fun Days will be July 14 and August 11. “We look forward to having you spend part of your summer with us at the museum,” officials there said.
