OPINION: DeHart must resign from Newberg-Dundee school board
I have a question for school board member Trevor DeHart: Do you believe your actions on the school board are improving Newberg schools? You were the only board member who voted last month to keep Stephen Phillips as superintendent of the school district. Under Stephen's watch, the school district budget now has a crippling deficit of $4 million. Would keeping sleeping-on-the-job Stephen improve Newberg schools? ...
Newberg football ready for 'bigger bite' in 2024
Despite losing eight all-league performers from last season, Newberg High School football may very well be on the brink of its best season in head coach Jeremy Johnson’s tenure with the program. It’s not hard to see why. Though the Tigers shed some talent, they return six all-leaguers from 2023 and a staggering number of linemen. Add in the fact that Newberg has improved in each season under Johnson, and the prospect of competing for a Pacific Conference championship seems feasible. ...

High school football: No. 4 St. John Bosco outlasts No. 9 Chaminade-Madonna 34-27 in Broward County Showcase
Bosco got an equalizer late in the third quarter and 5-foot-8 sophomore Maliq Blackwell-Allen scored the game winner on a 71-yard run off a toss sweep. On the first play after a Chaminade-Madonna punt with under five minutes to play, the speedster took the pitch, got the edge and outraced the defense to put Bosco up 34-27.
