Driver released from scene of crash into Wilbert Vault building
FORT BRANCH — An Owensville woman reported pain to her forearm, chest and neck following a Wednesday accident on U.S. 41 in Fort Branch, but signed a statement of refusal of treatment with medics who responded to the scene, according to accident reports released by the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office Friday.
LAWRENCEVILLE ARRESTS
Lawrenceville Police report two people were charged with Domestic Battery over the Fourth of July weekend. Both 38 year old Timothy Marshall of Lawrenceville and 26 year old Alexandria Rupp of Bridgeport were arrested for the offense and both were booked into the Lawrence County Jail. Both were being held there pending a detention hearing.

HALL OF FAME MURAL DEDICATION
The LHS/LTHS Hall of Fame Committee hosted a dedication and ribbon cutting Sunday afternoon for it’s commissioned mural honoring the four Indian state basketball championships and the architect behind them-Coach Ron Felling. The coach and members of his family were on hand for the ceremony in front of the work located on the side of the old Magnus building on Jefferson Street in downtown Lawrenceville. The mural was painted by area artist Bob Treece of Olney and was privately funded at a cost of $20,000. Also during the ceremony, Lawrenceville Mayor David Courtney presented the coach with a key to the city in honor of his bringing recognition to the city. Felling coached Indian basketball for 22 years and amassed a 358 win-78 loss record over those years with those 4 Class A titles and a third place finish.

Evansville police arrest woman accused of nearly $10k in fraudulent charges
HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – A Fort Branch woman has been charged with 37 counts of fraud after authorities say she charged nearly $10,000 to a former employer’s credit cards. On June 10, a woman reported to Evansville Police that numerous charges were made on multiple credit cards after her credit card information was stolen. According to an affidavit, this includes 27 separate transactions totaling $882.27 at Holiday World on June 3.
