James Finley sentenced in domestic shooting case
KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - A Knox County judge ruled that James Finley will serve no prison time following a guilty plea. James Finley, 22, of Vincennes Indiana, pled guilty to domestic battery by means of a deadly weapon. This comes after Finley shot his step-father in the leg, following a dispute back in 2022. Brewer named Enquirer All- Star Bowler Of The Year
On June 17, the Cincinnati Enquirer held its fall, winter and spring sports All-Star Awards ceremony at Princeton High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Enquirer had selected and invited the top athletes from each of the various sports from their Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana service area to attend. It is an honor for any athlete to be named as one of the Enquirer's nominees for this event. In each sport two athletes (one boy and one girl) were named as the overall All-Star of the Year based on their achievements through out the season.

Salem 11u All Stars Start District Tonight At Olney
The Salem 11u All Stars open District Tournament play tonight at Musgrove Park in Olney. They will take on either Robinson or Lawrenceville at 6pm tonight. The winner will advance to the semifinals on Friday against Olney after the White Squirrels opened up last night with a 3-1 win over Mt Carmel in their tournament. The loser of tonight’s game falls into an elimination game at 7pm tomorrow night.

CITY/VILLAGE CLOSURES FOR INDEPENDENCE DAY
(OLNEY) A reminder that most all city and village halls will be closed this coming Thursday in observance of Independence Day 2024 with most all of them reopening with normal hours on Friday. This includes those in Olney, Noble, and Newton. In addition, the City of Olney’s brush dump will also be closed Thursday, but back open this weekend on Friday and Saturday, from 10:00 to 4:00, each day. Plus, while morning and evening swim lessons are cancelled for Thursday, the Musgrove Aquatic Center will open at 1:00 Thursday afternoon for regular public swim. And a note from Republic Services that the area trash collection should be running normal residential routes all of this week without any delays.
