    Teen found dead along Mount Carroll roadway; police have a ‘person of interest’ in case

    MOUNT CARROLL, Ill. (WTVO) — Illinois State Police are investigating the death of 18-year-old Jackson Kradle, who was found dead along a roadway in Mount Carroll last month.

    According to authorities, Carroll County Sheriff’s deputies found Kradle’s body around 3:30 a.m. on July 28th, on Illinois Route 78 near downtown Mount Carroll.

    ISP Special Agent Matt Kipping said investigators have identified a “person of interest” in the case, but did not release any names.

    Kradle was a 2024 graduate of West Carroll High School, according to KWQC .
