NJ Mosquitos and what makes them bite you the most

Five Jersey Shore beaches under fecal bacteria advisories on Tuesday, July 2
Five Jersey Shore beaches are under advisories for high levels of fecal bacterial on Tuesday, July 2, according to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. Fecal bacteria, or enterococci, is common in the excrement and intestines of animals, and was found in high levels in water samples collected at each of the five beaches on July 1. The bacteria is used as an indicator species to signify the likelihood that other illness-causing microbes, viruses or parasites...
Three of the dirtiest cities in America are here in NJ
When we tell outsiders where we’re from, we all get the eye roll. We’ve all heard the Jersey dis about smokestacks, pollution, litter, and grime. No one ever thinks of farmland, the gorgeous lakes and mountains, the Jersey shore, the hiking trails, the nature. All we ever hear about is the dirty reputation, which just isn’t warranted or fair.

We have a lot here in New Jersey. The beaches, the best restaurants, boardwalks, lakes, and everything else, including five words that you'll only understand if you live here in the Garden State. I moved to New Jersey about 25 years ago and I'm so happy I did. New Jersey...

Do You Know Where New Jersey’s Volcano Is?
You've heard a hundred people say that New Jersey has everything, and here's further proof of that. Did you know New Jersey even has its very own volcano?. Every time we hear about an earthquake, a volcano, or a tornado, we breathe a sigh of relief here in New Jersey because we think they don't happen here, but that's not always true.
I am shocked! This is New Jersey’s favorite dog breed!
I do not know when this happened — people started to adopt and purchase rare breeds of dogs from all over the world, to fill the void of their families need for a pet dog. I remember the days when you walked into the ASPCA and saw a dog that seemed friendly, cute, and walked out with a rescue. That is how I got my dog Sparky who was a great find at the Monmouth County ASPCA.
