Hinsdale Man Charged with Impersonation in Olean
A Hinsdale man was charged after the report of an unwanted person in Olean late Monday night. Olean Police charged 38-year-old Kyle W. Fanton with criminal impersonation and falsely reporting an emergency. Fanton was released with an appearance ticket.

SALAMANCA, NY — It’s not often that two teams combine for more runs than hits, but that is what happened Sunday night in Salamanca. The Oilers were dominated by the Lizards, who scored more runs than the Oilers had base runners. With a total of eight base runners for the entire game, the Oilers fell to the Lizards 11-1. Comptroller: Counties, towns to see 2% tax cap as inflation slows

Friday, 1:59 p.m., one injury was reported following a one-vehicle accident involving a bicycle at the intersection of West State and North Seventh streets. A vehicle operated by Eric M. Firkel, 39, of Eldred, Pa., reportedly struck a bicycle crossing outside the crosswalk. A juvenile bicycle operator was transported to Olean General Hospital for treatment of reported abrasions.
