Pitching Struggles Continue for Oilers

ST. BONAVENTURE — While he may be new to the roster, Melvin Council Jr. intends to bring a level of leadership and experience to the St. Bonaventure men’s basketball team. A transfer from Wagner, Council spent last season helping the Seahawks claim a Northeast Conference championship, NCAA First Four win over Howard and an NCAA Tournament first-round appearance against North Carolina. Council not only contributed to Wagner’s success, but led the charge. He averaged a team-high 14.9 points, 5.7 rebounds and nearly a block per game.
