(WNY News Now) – Olean – Significant traffic delays are expected on East State Street in Olean as the Walkable Olean Phase III construction project progresses. Construction continues on East State Street from Front Street to North Union Street. Work at the Barry Street intersection will begin July 22nd. Oilers Sweep Doubleheader Against Genesee Rapids
HOUGHTON, NY — The Olean Oilers swept a doubleheader against the Genesee Rapids Wednesday. Back-to-back four-run innings propelled the Oilers to a 9-7 win in Game 1. The Oilers loaded the bases early in both the fifth and sixth innings. Two infield singles, a walk and a hit batter brought four runs to tie the game 5-5 in the fifth. The Rapids retook the lead in the bottom half of the inning by scoring one run.
