The entertaining adventure spectacle, based on Jules Verne’s novel, won the Academy Award for Best Picture and has delighted audiences for decades. It stars David Niven as Phileas Fogg, an Englishman who wagers he can traverse the globe in a mere 80 days. He’s joined by his trusty French manservant and a beautiful princess, Shirley Maclaine, while being trailed by a Scotland Yard detective who believes Fogg is up to no good.

Around the World in 80 Days is filled with star cameos and features an Oscar-winning score by Victor Young.

The film is rated G and runs for 155 minutes, and Saturday’s matinee will have a brief intermission. The event is hosted by Irv Slifkin. No registration is required.

The Mount Laurel Library is located at 100 Walt Whitman Avenue.
