The checkpoint is taking place on Friday, August 2 between 8:30AM and 1PM near Masonville Road and Marne Highway, according to the MLPD.

In New Jersey, basic, non-commercial vehicles need to be inspected once every two years in New Jersey, with the exception of new vehicles, which need a five-year inspection. Drivers can determine when their vehicles are due for inspection by checking the inspection sticker on their cars' windshields.

Inspections may be completed up to two months before the expiration date.
