Smell Smoke? It’s a South Jersey Forest Fire
If you've been smelling smoke from a fire over the last few days, there's a good explanation for it. There's a forest fire burning in South Jersey. The New Jersey Forest Fire Service says a fire has been burning in the Wharton State Forest, near Tabernacle, New Jersey. The fire is being called the "Tea Time Hill Wildfire" and has been burning since Thursday in Burlington County.
Update: Flash flood warning issued for Burlington and Ocean counties Sunday evening
An updated flash flood warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 5:28 p.m. in effect until 8 p.m. for Burlington and Ocean counties. "At 5:28 p.m., Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly," according to the weather service. "Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other drainage and low-lying areas."

MOUNT HOLLY, NJ – Burlington County is advancing a new regional trail project that is expected to dramatically improve pedestrian and bicycle safety while connecting Historic Smithville Park with the Pemberton Rail Trail. MANCHESTER — A suspect has been charged with murder in the death of a 25-year-old mother found shot to death in the stomach. He is a fugitive from justice.
