Thomas Smith and London Strong Foundations team up to save lives
GRAND BLANC TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJRT) - Runners are took to the starting line at Bicentennial Park in Grand Blanc Township for the London Strong 5K Run/Walk. Proceeds from the event help put more AEDs into the community to help save lives. Approximately 250 Michigan children and young adults die from sudden cardiac death each year, according to MDHHS.
Crusaders for Children Michigan to hold Family Fun Day to unite the community
A family- oriented event will be held this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Covenant Hills Camp and Retreat in Otisville. The festivities are being sponsored by The Crusaders for Children Michigan, along with help from many local businesses. The non-profit organization was originally scheduled to participate in the Blueberry Festival in Otter Lake this weekend but opted to withdraw. Several vendors quickly followed suit after learning of the circumstances which were reported on earlier this week by the Tribune; the Crusaders then quickly went to work to secure a new location.
