Canton residents say refuse service is garbage; Priority Waste vows to do better
CANTON TWP. — Residents can expect trash, recyclables and yard waste to be picked up on time, every week, starting Monday, July 29. That was the promise from Priority Waste representatives who appeared Tuesday, July 23, at the Canton Township Board of Trustees meeting to explain weeks of missed pickups and poor communication while also assuring the township would see better service going forward.
Free Dental Exams & X-Rays Offered During ‘CCH Dental Days’
Central City Health (CCH) will host “CCH Dental Days” in August, offering free dental exams and X-rays to the community. The events will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays, August 2, 23, and 30, located at 10 Peterboro St. in Midtown Detroit. This health and wellness initiative is designed to enhance oral health in the community by providing comprehensive dental care to those in need. CCH Dental Days is available to Detroit and Wayne County residents regardless of insurance status or ability to pay.

Detroit federal agents are sounding the alarm on a growing problem: “Glock Switch.” One such modified firearm can discharge up to 1,200 rounds per minute.
