Mary E. Sergent, age 86 of Owosso, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 16, surrounded by her family just one year and one day after her beloved husband, Jack B. Sergent. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Morrice with Rev. George C. Michalek officiating. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Friday, August 2, from 4 to 8 p.m. with a rosary prayed at 7 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Lynn C. Chase, age 87, of Durand, passed away Wed., July 24, 2024, at his home. A funeral will take place 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1, at the Crossing Free Methodist Church of Durand. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow to Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel.
