The Northeast Texas Community College Industrial Technology Training Center (ITTC) in Mount Pleasant is expanding its robotics training capabilities! Daniel Harvey, a student who is working at the ITTC as part of the Work-4College Program this summer, is pictured mounting two U Factory Lite 6 robotics arms at the center.

According to Kevin Frost, Professor of Industrial Technology, these new robots utilize Python programming and are one of the most affordable and easy-to-use solutions for robotic automation. They can easily be programmed to perform tasks suited to a variety of industries and settings.

The ITTC offers an 18-credit hour Robot Automation Certificate that teaches students how to program and use robots like the U Factory Lite 6. To learn more, visit www.ntcc.edu/industrialtech or contact Frost at 903-434-8384. Classes are currently enrolling for Fall 2024!
