‘First Date’ opens this weekend at Racine Theatre Guild
RACINE, WI —A first date can be both an exhilarating and exciting experience, but also downright. terrifying at the same time. Chances are, we’ve all been there. Finding out if, indeed, opposites do attract is the premise of the upcoming production of First Date, set to begin Friday and run through July 28, at the Racine Theatre Guild, 2519 Northwestern Avenue, Racine.

Travel Back in Time to the Elizabethan Era
The Bristol Renaissance Faire is a summer festival that takes place off I-94 at the Illinois/Wisconsin Border over nine glorious weekends from July to September. The festival lets attendees experience what it'd feel like to travel back in time to the year 1574 with a recreation of the knights, maids and turkey legs that were staples of society at that time. From July 6th through September 2nd, the Bristol Renaissance Faire will be hosting their Elizabethan themed event. Such a responsibility may seem daunting; Racine County Foster Care, in collaboration with Angel Studios, is offering a free screening of their latest inspirational film, “Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot,” to an audience of more than 100 people.
