Scranton man sentenced on gun charge
SCRANTON, Pa. — A man from Lackawanna County will spend nearly nine years behind bars for a firearms offense. Investigators say Victorious Minter, 28, of Scranton, was in possession of a loaded pistol after having been convicted of another crime and waved the gun at another driver during a road rage incident on the North Scranton Expressway back in January of 2022.

Madison Township Trustee Kenneth Gauntner Jr. resigns
Kenneth Gauntner Jr. has resigned as a Madison Township trustee. His departure will mark the end of 50 consecutive years in which he’s worked or served in local government. Gauntner’s final day as trustee will be June 30, which is about 1 1/2 years before his current four-year term expires. He was elected as a Madison Township trustee in 2013, and then won re-election in 2017 and 2021.

Woman sentenced for embezzling nearly $2 million from employer
SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — A woman has been sentenced to prison for embezzling nearly $2 million from a Scranton-based educational institution. According to the United States Attorney's Office, Catherine Latoski, 53, formerly of Exeter, was sentenced to 48 months in prison for embezzling nearly $2 million from her former employer.
