Robert Schrock
Robert William Schrock, 83, of Somerset, died June 28, 2024 at his home. Born September 7, 1940 in Meyersdale, he is the son of Harry W. and Gladys E. (Martz) Schrock. Preceded in death by his parents, wife the former Shirley Mae Warnick. Survived by his sons Robert W. Schrock Jr. and wife Lisa of Fort Hill, and Michael Schrock and wife Becci of Harrisburg, grandchildren Emily, Eric, Kathryn, and Alexis, great-granddaughter Sofia, and sister Linda M. Deal of Meyersdale. Robert was a graduate of Meyersdale High School, he worked as a self employed dairy farmer later for 7 Springs Resort where he retired, he also enjoyed watching television. Friends received 6-8 p.m Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will be conducted 10 a.m Tuesday with Pastor Douglas Baker officiating. ROMNEY — If it were not for one Hampshire High School graduate, the summer months would have left Rannells Field at Hampshire High School lonely and barren. Sure the field sees an occasional visitor during summer workouts for the HHS athletic programs, but for the most part it is left untouched. There are no physical education classes venturing out on it, no faculty/student fund-raising games, no Friday night football and no graduation.
