The Bedford Post 113 Hurricanes looked to avenge last year’s Cambria County American Legion title loss against St. Michael, Monday. Their efforts were thwarted following a slew of errors as the Saints went on to win the CCAL title game, 6-1.
Church News
Cruise-in and ice cream festival will be hosted by the Everett Church of the Brethren, 119 E. Second St., from noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 10. There will be hot dogs, sloppy dogs, kraut dogs, sloppy joes, pies, cakes, macaroni salad, numerous flavors of ice cream and more. Music will be shared. A yard sale will be held.
Robert William Hinebaugh
FRIENDSVILLE — Robert William Hinebaugh, 93, formerly of Friendsville, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 4, 2024, at Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville. Born April 9, 1931, in Friendsville, he was a son of the late Wilbur Arthur and Leona Catherine (Friend) Hinebaugh. He was also preceded in death by one son, Gregory Hinebaugh; one daughter, Teresa Horan; one grandson, Jared Scofield; one son-in-law, J. Franklin Scofield; two brothers, Claude Hinebaugh and Ralph Hinebaugh; and two sisters, Anna Catherine Fike and Ruth Hinebaugh Umbel.
