Bedford Borough under mandatory water notice. Until further notice, the Borough’s Municipal Authority has issued a mandatory water conservation notice. Prohibited uses include watering lawns, gardens, landscaped areas, trees, shrubs and outdoor plants, watering golf courses, washing paved surfaces, such as streets, sidewalks, driveways, garages, parking areas, tennis courts and patios, operating water fountains, artificial waterfalls and reflecting pools, washing vehicles, serving water in eating places unless specifically requested by the individual, filling and topping off swimming pools. Questions should be directed to the Bedford Borough manager at 623-8192.

Off Pitt Street Theater Company, located at 110 W. Pitt St., Suite 2, Bedford, has announced its upcoming auditions. “Merry Wives of Windsor” auditions will be held at 6 p.m. Aug. 1 and Aug. 2 and 2 p.m. Aug. 4. Actors ages 16 and older may audition. Show dates are 7 p.m. Sept. 13, 14, 20, 21 and 2 p.m. Sept. 15. Sign-ups are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. Actors ages 18 and older can sign up to be cast in an original murder mystery that will be staged at Royer Mansion in Williamsburgat 6 p.m. Sept. 28. The first 10 people who register online at www.offpittstreet.com will be cast. Rehearsals will beheld four times over six weeks in Bedford, and the dress rehearsal and show will take place in Williamsburg. A Manns Choice woman was charged with identity theft and theft of services after allegedly opening an electricity account in the name of a close relative. In August of 2021, Tracy Gauthier, 54, opened a Penelec account using a close female relative’s name and identity information without her knowledge.

Bridgewater, New Jersey - For the second consecutive week, Minor League Baseball has named Somerset Patriots OF Elijah Dunham the Eastern League Player of the Week. Over five games played during the Patriots' six-game series facing the Erie SeaWolves from July 8-14, Dunham went 8-for-19 (.421) with 2 HR, 4 RBI, 4 R, 4 XBH, 2 SB and a 1.342 OPS. Dunham had multiple hits in three of his five games and concluded the series by homering in back-to-back games.
CSA accepting entries for annual goose hunt drawing
