City of Windom flood update, July 2
The American Red Cross will be at Windom Area High School’s west parking lot today and Wednesday, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. They will have additional cleanup kits and supplies to help with cleanup. The cleanup kits are free. Those picking up kits will need to leave their address and phone number.

Update from the City of Windom Mayor Dominic Jones. The Des Moines River at Windom is measuring currently at 22.87’ and is forecasted to continue decreasing steadily. There is a slight chance of severe weather expected tonight and the Emergency Operations Center will continue to monitor the situation overnight. With saturated soils and potential strong winds, there is a risk of tree damage and uprooting.
