Hilo Pride Celebration Held in Hilo Without Parade This Year
HILO, Hawaii (Island News) -- Pride in Hilo looked little different this year. The parade that locals are so accustomed to did not make its way down the streets of Hilo town. The all-ages event was attended by dozens of vendors and the band shell stage hosted live music, The drag stage was sponsored by the Hilo community players.
Hawaiʻi Island Lane Closures: Week of July 1
The Department of Transportation announced the following Hawaiʻi Island lane closures during the week of July 4, 2024. There will be no contraflow or lane closures on Thursday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day, unless otherwise permitted. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.
