Man Arrested in Woodbury: Loaded Handgun and Switchblade Recovered During Traffic Stop
The Second Squad reports the arrest of a Brooklyn man for Criminal Possession of a Weapon for an incident that occurred on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 9:11 pm in Woodbury. According to Detectives, Criminal Intelligence Rapid Response Team (CIRRT) Officers while on routine patrol observed a gray 2011 Mercedes-Benz traveling northbound on Woodbury Road at a high rate of speed. Officers activated their emergency lights and conducted a Vehicle and Traffic Law.

Fire breaks out in Chester commercial building
On the morning on July 21, a fire broke out in a commercial building in the area of 39 Elkay Drive in Chester. According to the Sugar Loaf Engine Company, upon their arrival at the scene, the team found a working fire inside the building, soon upgrading the blaze to a second alarm fire. The crew was able to knock down the fire inside while mutual aid teams assisted with ventilation and suppressing “spot fires,” the fire company shared on Facebook.
Woman Cited For Careless Driving After Overturning Vehicle: Montgomery PD
At 11:58 a.m., first responders were on the scene of an overturned vehicle at Route 518 near Brecknell Way, Montgomery Police said in a release. The driver, a 37-year-old Skillman woman was operating 2020 Mini eastbound on Route 518 when she drifted over the fog line and impacted the trailer of a landscape truck parked along the shoulder, police said.

HAVERSTRAW — A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of an 18-year-old man accused of fatally shooting Christian Alvarado on July 1. Police have re-released a wanted poster for Yandie Martinez with the $5,000 incentive to get information on his whereabouts. Police have sought Martinez for questioning since the 29-year-old Alvarado died from multiple gunshot wounds.
