LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas — On Tuesday night, Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr. will once again introduce a sales tax increase to the board of directors. This is the second time he will try to get this tax passed, and the mayor is in good spirits ahead of the meeting as he hopes voters will see how much this money is needed.
One More Day of Heat Wave
The heat wave will last one more day before we get a break in the high temperatures. A heat advisory will be in effect for southeast Kansas, most of Oklahoma, southern Missouri and all of Arkansas today. The advisories start between 11 and 1 p.m. and will last until 8 p.m. Coffeyville is expected to see a high of 99 with a heat index up to 109 today.
