Man dead after Wednesday morning shooting in Muskogee

MUSKOGEE, Okla. — The Muskogee Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a man dead and woman injured Wednesday morning.

Police say officers responded to a shots fired call near South Junction Street and Denver Street around 1:30 a.m.

Officers found two people in a car with multiple gunshot wounds. 38-year-old Reon D. Bell was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead shortly after.

A woman was also transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police say they are not releasing her identity at this time.

Police say this investigation is in early stages and there is currently no suspect information.
