David Charles Reed Jr., 72, of Chesterfield, passed away Monday, July 8, 2024. True to his nature, Dave made his wife, Kathy, laugh until the very last moment of his life. Born April 25, 1952, in Grosse Pointe, but calling Detroit home for his early years, David became a barber, joining his uncle and father at McCubbin’s Barber Shop in Grosse Pointe Woods. Though he closed the shop in 2015, he continued working on and entertaining his many loyal customers until the end.

This letter to the editor is in response to the letter titled, “See the truth,” that was published in the June 19, 2024, edition of The Voice. Read the conviction and you will know what law felon Trump violated. On the stand David Pecker told of all the stories that were made up against not only Hillary Clinton, but the likes of Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio. Mr. Pecker testified they also paid for and suppressed stories that were true but would damage Trump in the presidential campaign. All this with felon Trump’s knowledge.

Judge exceeds guidelines in sentencing Lake Orion man for ‘horrific’ attack on ex-girlfriend
A Lake Orion man was sentenced this week to at least 26 years in prison for what prosecutors called a “horrific” attack on his ex-girlfriend. Adam Richard Williams, 35, received a sentence of 26 to 50 years in prison after having been convicted on charges of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, home invasion and aggravated domestic violence.
