Warrant issued for woman accused of exploiting elderly woman out of nearly $52,000
NEWKIRK — A warrant is issued for Tammy Dene Jones, 51, Enid, by the Kay County District Court. Jones is facing felony counts of exploitation of elderly and or disabled adult by deception and intimidation and computer fraud and or unlawful use of a computer system. Ponca City police report that Jones is accused of fraudulently obtaining $51,877.94 from a senior citizen.
Not Too Early Big XII Hoops Predictions: No. 12, Oklahoma State
Several Big XII teams may have depth problems this season. Oklahoma State will not be among them. In fact, it is possible the Cowboys could be the deepest team in the conference. Shooting Incident at Econo Lodge Motel in Pryor Ends in Tragedy
PRYOR, Oklahoma ~ Last night, at approximately 9:39 PM, Pryor Creek Police Officers were dispatched to the Econo Lodge Motel on the south side of Pryor Creek in response to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found a male victim outside a motel room with two gunshot wounds to his upper body. The suspect had fled the scene before the officers arrived, but eyewitnesses provided a description of the suspect's vehicle.

On July 13, 2024, she took the stage at Cherry Grove Community House Theatre to deliver a rousing revival of “Hedwig and the Angry Inch,” much to the audience’s delight. Capturing all the drama, angst, and vivid imagery of the 2014 Tony Award-winning production, this performance was for one night only – but what a night it was. Nationwide – Teenagers Autumn Kendall, 14, and Aurora Morgan, 15, are excited to announce the release of their children’s book, The Three Heroes, and their first book signing event in East Harlem, NY on June 4, 2024, at 6pm. The Three Heroes, developed under the 3E Program for Social Justice and Change, is a compelling tale featuring characters inspired by civil rights leaders Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, and Chairman Fred Hampton. The story introduces a villain resembling J. Edgar Hoover, who led the FBI’s COINTELPRO operations aimed at undermining these activists. Though the characters are fictional, the book sheds light on historical events and the impact of COINTELPRO.
