    Camden PD announce the identification of the body found on North Street

    UPDATE (08/15/2024): On Thursday, August 15, 2024, the Camden Police Department released an update on the body that was discovered on North Street. According to authorities, on August 12, 2024, at 7:49 PM, officers responded to a local business on North Street.

    The responding officers learned that the business owners discovered a body in a dump trailer. The body was then sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

    Officials were able to identify the body as 47-year-old Jonnie Jelinck. According to authorities, no foul play was determined in the cause of death.

    CAMDEN, Ark. (KTVE/KARD) — On August 12, 2024, Ouachita County officials were called to North Street in Camden, Ark. after a deceased body was discovered on a dump trailer. Officials confirmed that the body was at the location between four and five days before it was found.

    According to officials, the body was described as a White male who was believed to be around 50 years of age. The body was sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office for identification and to determine the cause of death.

    No further information has been released.
