    Louisiana Classic to take place in West Monroe from Wednesday, August 21st to Sunday, August 25th

    WEST MONROE, La. (KTVE/KARD) — According to the city of West Monroe officials, the Louisiana Classic will take place at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center on 501 Mane St., from Wednesday, August 21, 2024, to Sunday, August 25, 2024.

    The classic is a competitive style of western riding in which riders guide horses through a series of patterns. According to city officials, the event will have an estimated economic impact of over $178, 655 for Ouachita Parish.

    “We are excited to bring Southern Reined Cow Horse Association’s Louisiana Classic back for a second year to Ike Hamilton. They are showing a 30% increase in participation over year one, and we look forward to showing all their competitors our unique southern hospitality style.”

    • Wednesday, August 21 – 7:40 a.m.
    • Thursday, August 22 – 7:10 a.m.
    • Friday, August 23 – 7:00 a.m.
    • Saturday, August 24 – 7:00 a.m.
    • Sunday, August 25 – 8:00 a.m.
