City of Monroe announces Labor Day closure, adjusted trash pickup schedule

MONROE, La. (KTVE/KARD) — The city of Monroe officials announced that facilities will be closed on Monday, September 2., 2024, for Labor Day, with the city reopening on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.

Trash pickup routes scheduled for Monday, September 2, 2024, have been moved to Wednesday, September 4, 2024. Monroe Transit and Monroe City Courts will also be closed on Monday, September 2, for Labor Day.

According to officials, Louisiana Purchase Gardens and Zoo, Chennault Golf Course, and Forsythe Golf Course will be open.
