Crossett School District receives a threat

EL DORADO, Ark. (KTVE/KARD) — Crossett School District received a threat towards them this morning. Initially, the thought was that the suspect was targeting the high school. The target was actually the football game tonight. Authorities got right on the situation and made sure to supervise the campus. Parents were informed of the situation and immediately began to check their children out of school. Some parents were confused on the situation as a whole and also wondered why the game was not cancelled. Superintendent Anthony Boykin states that the suspect is now in custody. Authorities believe that there is no longer a threat but will still be active at the football game as a precaution.
