MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Two men were arrested over the weekend by Myrtle Beach police in connection with an armed robbery on N. Ocean Boulevard, according to police records obtained by News13.

Quinzell Whitaker, 23, was charged with armed robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. LaQuan Whitaker, 30, faces the same charges. Both remain in jail as of this writing after they were booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Sunday.

Police responded Sunday to the Sugar Twist in the 700 block of N. Ocean Boulevard, where a man flagged down officers and told them he was robbed and beaten, according to a police report. The man said he was hit in the back of the head with a pistol.

The Whitakers were located shortly after and arrested, the report said. LaQuan was given a $25,000 bond.
