Person in custody one week after deadly shooting of Virginia teen in Myrtle Beach, police say

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A person has been arrested in connection with the July 20 shooting of a 16-year-old Virginia teenager, authorities said on Saturday.

Authorities said information was limited, with charges expected to be formally announced soon.

Jakolbi Taylor was shot in the area of 16th Ave. N in the early morning hours while participating in a youth basketball game.
