Camaraderie a big key for young Myrtle runners

MYRTLE – It’s one thing when a successful team brings back most of its top contributors the next season. It’s another when those coming back have much, much more to give.

The Myrtle girls cross country team is coming off a Class 1A team state championship, its third in 10 years. All seven girls who ran at state are back, including the defending state gold medalist, Ally Murphy, and the silver medalist, Madylynn Hogue.
