    Nomination window opens for 2024 Excelsior, Excalibur awards

    ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — The awards recognizing excellence in community service are once again open for public nominations.

    Beginning today, community members can nominate people and local organizations for the Excalibur, Excelsior and Community Champion Awards.

    The Excalibur award will go to one person who has greatly impacted the Stateline through community service, while the Excelsior award will go to a local organization that represents community service in the area best.

    The four Community Champion Awards will recognize the effort and impact of an individual, organization, group, project or initiative.

    One recipient for each award from Stephenson, Winnebago, Boone and Ogle counties will be named at the annual Excalibur and Excelsior Award night held on December 12, 2024.

    Nominations are accepted until October 1st. To nominate someone or an organization, a nomination form can be found here .
