    Grand Jury indicts Belvidere man for drunk driving crash that killed Jazlyn Davidson, 16

    BELVIDERE, Ill. (WTVO) — A 23-year-old man has been indicted by a Boone County Grand Jury on charges that he killed a 16-year-old Harlem High School student, his passenger, while driving drunk.

    On August 3rd, around 10:38 p.m., deputies and the Boone County District Fire responded to an accident on Poplar Grove Road. The investigation showed that Justin Lee’s Ford F350 left the roadway and overturned several times, according to police.

    Jazyln Davidson was ejected from the vehicle and transported to a local hospital with critical injuries. She later succumb to her injuries.

    Lee has been indicted on two counts of aggravated DUI of alcohol causing death.

    A pretrial release motion was denied, and Lee will remain in custody until his next court date on August 28th.
