    Harlem dominates Belvidere with Chicago Bears Chairman George McCaskey officiating

    BELVIDERE, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — The first varsity girls flag football game at Belvidere High School had a special guest. Chicago Bears Chairman of the Board George McCaskey was part of the three-man officiating crew for the game.

    McCaskey officiates and umpires multiple IHSA sports in the North Central Illinois area. The Bears have been one of the biggest supporters of girls’ flag football the past few years getting the sport off the ground to the point where this year for the first time it is officially sanctioned by the Illinois High School Association.

    This game featured the Harlem Huskies against the Belvidere Bucs. Harlem dominated the game 42-0. For highlights, watch the media player above.
