BELOIT, Wis. (WTVO) — A Beloit man has been arrested after a standoff with police on Monday.

According to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, Cale Tinder, 35, was involved in a domestic disturbance in the 2500 block of S. Riverside Drive around 2:07 a.m.

Police were told he threatened a woman inside the house with a firearm. The woman was able to escape the house before law enforcement arrived, authorities said, but a juvenile female was still being held inside the residence.

Rock County deputies secured the scene and called in the SWAT team.

Hours later, police said that Tinder eventually surrendered and the girl was released uninjured.

Tinder was taken to the Rock County Jail and charged with 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Failure to Comply with Police, False Imprisonment, and Disorderly Conduct while Armed.

He is scheduled to appear in court on September 3rd.
